The Niger State Government is set to partner with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) to develop agriculture in the state.
Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello made this known when he paid a courtesy visit to the ministry in Abuja on Thursday
Bello revealed that the meeting was aimed to discuss ways to further strengthen the relationship with the minister to boost productivity in the state.
Governor also pointed that there was a need to provide needed support for the farmers in the state.
The development of the agricultural abundant potentials in Niger state will lead to food sufficiency in Nigeria, Bello added.
The governor was received by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Alh. Mohammed Sabo Nanono.
