This was disclosed recently by the Director-General of NEMA, Dr Ahmed Habib during the distribution of the agricultural inputs to the victims in Akure.
Some of the inputs distributed include water pumps, herbicides, fertilisers and growth enhancers.

According to the DG, those most affected by the floods were the maize, rice and cassava farmers.
“We are here in fulfilment of Mr President’s approval for Agricultural inputs for victims that were affected by 2020 flood disasters.
“This is a day of fulfilment for the beneficiaries to take the farm inputs, to assist them in replanting and coming back to the mainstreams of the crops they have planted,” Ahmed stated.
On his part, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State on Agriculture and Agribusiness, Akin Olotu, lauded the Federal Government for the gesture to the farmers, noting that the farmers lost over N200 million to the disaster.
