The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has received officials of the World Bank Group in Nigeria to discuss progress on the bank-funded projects targeted at revamping the agriculture sector.
The group led by its Country Director , Shubham Chaudhuri paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar on Wednesday.
The visit, according to the World Bank was aimed at briefing the Honourable Minister on the current situation of the World Bank support Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) and Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) projects
L-PRES and ACReSAL are currently at the preparatory stage, the Bank group revealed
On his part, the Agric Minister lauded the team on the ongoing preparations of the projects and advised the Bank’s management to follow due processes in the selection of the pilot states towards the implementation of the projects.
